Under the "Credits" tab, you can see how many credits you have on your account (if you use any credits, that is!)

Credits are needed if you're going to send, for instance, an SMS or a test to a candidate.

Using credits

When you send an SMS or a test to a candidate, a credit is used per SMS/test. They are used automatically and there's nothing you need to monitor or approve when sending the SMS or test πŸ˜„

It's important to be aware that there is a character limit for SMS, and if you exceed it, more credits will be used.

The character limit per SMS is 160 characters, and if you use more characters, it will count as two or more SMS and more credits will be used. However, it will still appear as one SMS to the candidate!

Example

In the image below, you see an example of what it might look like on an account that uses SMS to contact candidates, and how many credits are available. Generally speaking, one credit is used per SMS/test, so in the example below, the users can send out 4978 SMS with the credits currently available in the account!

So, let's say you're going to send an SMS to a candidate. After writing the SMS, you notice it's 210 characters long. Since it's 50 characters over the limit for one SMS, it will count as two, and two credits will be deducted from the account. However, the candidate will only see one message.

Ordering credits

If you're unable to send an SMS or a test, it might be because your account has run out of credits. If you have the right to view the "Credits" tab (under Admin -> Organisation), you can check how many credits you have left yourself; otherwise, a colleague with the right access right can check for you!

If you then need to order more credits, you contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM), and they will assist you with topping them up!

The same goes if you want to start using SMS or tests, just contact your CSM and we’ll set it up 😎
